Time's a Thing

Where have the days gone?
To the same places they have always been.

The memories our grandparents shared when we were young...The moments that seemed years... A day seeming a thousand when looking forward. A minute taking so much longer than 60 little seconds.

Where has the time gone?
To the same places it has always been.

Now we see with perhaps a tainted glass. Time is clouded, but very close.
Deadline. To-do. Appointments. Schedule. What does any of this mean? But we still go on counting, counting.

Where has rest gone?
To the same place is has always been.

To understand why we rush is to understand who we are. To stop and think why we rush is to stop and think why we are. To stop is to understand. To rest is to understand. But rest cannot be scheduled. Rest must be rest.

Where has it all gone?
To the same place it has always been.
Where have you gone?
To the same place you've always been.

Don't let time change you.
Don't let the busy change you.
Become who you are.
Grow as you are.

We must only use time as an expansion of who we are and who we were created to be.
Become who you are supposed to be. It's not hard, just don't get tangled up in time.
Grow closer to people, not to appointments. Grow closer to learning, not to-dos. Grow closer to accomplishing new, not to deadlines. Grow closer to dancing with time, not with schedules.

Won't you join the dance of time?
