“Two Shadows"

One shadow.

Hiding

The sun pulls it out, points it out

The water flows around it

It looks lonely

And scared

Another shadow joins

It does not change the meaning of the shadow

The look does not change

But somehow...

Somehow the two shadows that are hiding

That the sun pulls out, points out

That the water flows around

Are less lonely

And less scared

By simply being side by side
