I love receiving letters in the mail. There is just something so wonderful and mysterious about it!
You could get an E-mail, a facebook message, or a text message, but it doesn't have the same feeling. You can't tell when there is a letter waiting for you (or if there is one at all), but you can tell if it's something electronic. I mean there is a number or picture flashing at you. You also have the freedom to check all the time if it is electronic, you could be on your phone or computer all day waiting and checking, and waiting and checking, and waiting and checking. (No, I have never done that...)
With a letter there is something precious to hold onto and to keep forever. You can add so many details with a letter! You can add personality to your writing, adding so many other details the computer will not let you do. You can also put in a picture or other "keepable" items which is so cool! :)
To a certain extent I even like junk mail. Maybe my opinion will change in the next 10 years or so, but at the moment most of it consists of colleges wanting me to attend next year. The count at the moment is 25+ things I got from various colleges and universities just this year, and I am only seriously thinking about one of them, and I knew about that college before they sent me anything, so I don't know how that works out for the rest of them...
When I write a letter sometimes it is not even a letter, just a card, but it is still fun! One thing I want to start doing is sending people letters or cards on their birthday.
Now please go write someone a letter.
Oh and these are some cards that I made for some peeps. --->
