So if you don't already know, I am a senior in High school this year and I just graduated! Whoo!!!
I totaled my college (junk) mail at 75 until I gave up counting and threw it all away. And I have received about 6 billion emails from random colleges which I just deleted...
Oh and here is an official announcement!

I have been wanting to go to Judson since I first heard about their Worship Arts program back in my Junior year. And that's what I will be majoring in, Worship Arts. It teaches leading worship, drama, arts, the technical and media side for worship, photography and cinematography. And all of those things they are teaching I am interested in learning, so that is very cool.
I have been thinking quite a bit about what I plan on doing after college. I know I would like to lead worship somewhere either at a church, a small group, or a youth group.
I also want to be able to teach how to lead worship. I want to teach two main things:
1. There is a major difference between picking up a guitar and singing, and leading a group of people into God's presence. (I could do a whole post on just the topic of worship, but not today :) )
2. I want to help musicians figure out how to blend without sounding like a 1st grade "orchestra" playing twinkle twinkle little star on recorders and kazoos. :)

At the start of the school year I kept thinking "Oh, I will be graduating at the end of this year", but it did not fully sink in until this past month when I got to tell people where I am going to college in the fall. I also realized I am getting older, and I think that means I am supposed to grow up or something like that... There are a lot of decisions in getting ready for college and lots of form to fill out and lots of people to talk with. I have a lot more freedom and I have to choose what I am going to do with that.
All the growing up thoughts transition into little things I think of like Christmas will never be the same. I won't be home all of December so it will be interesting because ever since I can remember I have helped with our church christmas play either acting in it or helping to direct etc. I won't be home when the lilacs in the back yard start to bloom.
And depending on where I live after graduating from university (do you think I should just start calling college "university" like a British person?) none of my life will be the same...
I know God is calling me to go to Judson, so as I prepare for it I pray He will help me get ready and bring me to a place in my heart where I am ready to learn what He want's me to know.
